Over the past 30 years, as in other regions of the world, the rising importance of insurance
in the cultural and economic landscapes of Arab countries has created a growing need for
continuous education, training, and specialized conferences in the sector.
Leaders in international insurance and reinsurance have long witnessed the success of
numerous conferences organized in Beirut over the decades, in collaboration between ACAL and
the General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF).
These summits, which attracted both regional and international insurers and reinsurers,
played a vital role in advancing insurance and reinsurance across the region. They fostered
new partnerships, joint venture negotiations, and treaty renewals, while also contributing
to human capital development and the integration of best local practices with the latest
global insights—ranging from shifting client behavior and awareness to the adoption of
digital technologies and cyber solutions. Among these successful events was the Beirut
Rendez-vous 2005, which welcomed 600 participants from diverse insurance and reinsurance
fields.
Building on the tradition of the 2005 Rendez-vous and other pioneering insurance conferences
in the Arab world, Beirut RDV 2026 is set to surpass all previous gatherings of the industry
ever held in Lebanon.

Lebanon is characterized by a mild Mediterranean climate with about 300 sunny days per year. The seminar will take place during the spring season and the average temperature at that time will be 22°C or 70°F.
During the seminar the time zone will be GMT +2.
Arabic is the official language of the country as well as the official language for the conference. However, most of the Lebanese are at least bilingual speaking either French or English. Translations from and to English and French will be readily available during the open sessions.
All international brands are available in Lebanon. Locally produced handicrafts and sweets are known to be the best in the region. Jewelry are of international standard and have very competitive prices.

Be the heart of Lebanon's Capital, Beirut City Center has a long tradition of
business, institutional, cultural and leisure activitie on a site inhabited for
more than 5,000 years, civilizations from the Canaanites to the Ottomans defined
Beirut's identity. The Phoenicians started its maritime and trading vocation,
its roman law school was famous and the Ottomans developed its
architecture. Endowed with an important archaeological and architectural
heritage, Beirut City Center enjoys all-year round cultural and leisure events.
Beirut is the party city of the Middle East and North Africa. The clubs and bars
here are influenced by western style music with a Middle Eastern twist. There is
something here for everyone from tribal, techno, house, Arabic, RnB, jazz etc.
The main party towns in Beirut are in Downtown, Gemmayze and Monot Street
Achrafieh. The crowd is both young and young at heart and dress is usually smart
casual throughout, except for those special nights and exclusive events. Beirut
attracts some of the best talents in DJ's and artists from across the world.
Few caverns in the world approach the astounding wealth or the extent of those
of Jeita. In these caves and galleries, the action of water has created
cathedral-like vaults beneath the hills of Mount Lebanon.
The caves provide a tunnel or escape route for the underground river.
The caverns consist of two levels: the lower galleries (discovered in 1836) are
visited by boat and the upper galleries by foot. Many concerts and cultural
events have taken place in this unusual venue. The ministry of tourism charged
the German company "Mapas" to renovate and re-equip its facilities by the most
modern techniques.
A delightful example of the early 19th century oriental architecture, Beit El
Din was built by Emir Bechir El Chehabi II. Following the traditional style, its
external appearance has the stark simplicity of a fortress. The palace remained
the Emir's residence until the day of his exile in 1840.
An elegant arcade leads to a terrace with a view embracing the whole valley and
reaching far down to the sea.
A thriving modern town with an ancient heart, Byblos is a mix of sophistication and tradition. The old harbor is sheltered from the sea by a rocky headland, nearby are the excavated remains of the ancient city, the Crusader castle, the church and the old market area. For a real taste of Byblos, stroll through the streets and byways. This part of town is a collection of old walls overlapping properties and intriguing half-ruins. Don't hesitate to explore. Should you happen to intrude on someone's property the hospitable townspeople will be pleased to show you around.
The cedar tree, king of the mountain tops, stands among these pure peaks like an immortal, which neither time nor history's vicissitudes can shake. If the Lebanese have chosen it as their national emblem, depicted on the flag, it is because the cedar represents not only the past, but also a guarantee for the future.
