About ACAL

Established in 1971, the Association aims at establishing a close cooperation among its members in different fields, building the profession on technical and sound bases and instituting rules and regulations liable to raise the level of the insurance industry as well as safeguarding the public interest and insuring the representation of its members with the authorities and third party.

As the Lebanese insurance market is maintaining its growth momentum also in the face of current regional difficulties, ACAL continues to be the voice of the Lebanese insurance industry through its active participation in policy making for the sector, which includes submission of legislative proposals, drafting of model contracts and studies of mandatory premiums, among others. The Association plays a very prominent role in the interaction of public sector and private sector on all insurance matters and it is a leader in communications, research and training through its statistical Reports, and program of professional seminars delivered at the ACAL premises.

About GAIF

The General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF) was established in September 1964 in Cairo in response to the collective desire of Arab insurance professionals and companies. It operates with legal personality, administrative autonomy, and financial independence, enabling it to effectively pursue its objectives. Since its inception, GAIF has had its permanent headquarters in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt.
